To answer your question: This means that the Angelic Elixir has a chance to drop during a game now. If you give it to a tower, it grants a pretty cool looking optical aura.

Yep. None of the things you get from donating make gameplay alterations, they're just aesthetics. That said, they help keep Andy enthused about our little hobby, so you can picture them creating the new content, in a manner of speaking. =P
