interesting guide to leveling Dark forge

first off the key to this is having a primary with fast attack speeed. Alternatively you can use scientist. this will also require some items. 1. Give your primary tower (or any other fast attacking tower/s) 3 paintings and one dark forged item. I used a Muli as main for testing this. 2. Put 4 gaurdian necklaces on dark forge. 3. (OPTIONAL) Have a Ganesha within range of both your main and dark forge. (note 1) This will make it so that each time your main attacks and misses due to the paintings your forge will get 0.4 - 0.9 exp. The reason you are getting so much more exp per miss than you are losing from the dark item is because there is the bonus exp from Ganesha for your primary and then again for your Forge (exponential? once). (note 2) Having 3 paintings rather then 2 and 2 dark items is so that you main doesn't kill the creeps to fast (by missing more often) wasting the total amount of attacks you can get off. Another thing you can do is just to make sure all your extra towers have atleast 1 dark item on them. This is so that when a Golden key gives exp it gives some to the Dark Forge. This ideais from @Nillo. My guide for leveling DF: 1) If DF level is less than half of genesha put dark item on genesha 2) get a bazillion level ups the next time a tower levels. 3) Remove DF item from Genesha or otherwise it’ll be stuck. 4) Wait for condition 1 to apply and now I will expand upon it as of 0.8+. 5) have you primary with dark item on it and use the wisdom flask. Not only will some of the xp from the flask go to your Forge but any levels your primary tower gets will give levels to your genesha to further level your Forge.

I use a similar method... which uses a shadow at the first spot so he always attacks the maximum amount before creeps die. 3 paintings + any dark item works. This allows me the freedom to push my primary without losing kills or exp whilst knowing my dark forge will level to 99 indefinitely courtesy of all the exp boost stacks.

@kad True enough, I forgot to add that one lol. BTW grats on rank 1!

Nice guide! I will try that soon. Finally the blade of darkness will be mine ^^ Bit off topic: Did you ever succeed on using DF as your primary tower? I tried a few times but with no success.

I've only done so twice andy. the conditions have to be right to succeed.

Oops I missed your post korn. Ty for the congrats :)

@Andy I have done it once before.

@Kad 4 more levels until the deck master ability. Excited! @korn7809 Did you manage to finish the game with DF or did you have to switch the carrier? I always had to switch it, but in all situations it was already too late, because prior to switching DF made not enough kills ^^

I was able to finish it him.

Meh deckmaster will be nice but I feel id rather push luck and see how much of a mega muli I could make or see how often I could get beavers to stun etc etc etc. Ive found a few game breaking flaws (not yet reported without further testing) that may or may not be based more so on luck rather than a chosen common.

Well... You should try and spend some skillpoint in Deckmaster. There will be more interesting opportunnities than common towers :D

My guide for leveling DF: 1) If DF level is less than half of genesha put dark item on genesha 2) get a bazillion level ups the next time a tower levels. 3) Remove DF item from Genesha or otherwise it'll be stuck. 4) Wait for condition 1 to apply :P

updated for ver 0.8

You can snow globe a scientist and equip it to a fast attacking unit with a impatient set... two towers leveling up fast at a time.

Or just put impatience set on a scientist. Best results if the scientist gets trident or snow globe bunny
